The Family Doctor Consultations Service number 66016001 is a medical advice line aimed at providing people with the possibility to receive medical advice outside the working hours of family doctors on how to deal with simple illnesses that do not require emergency medical attention.

 

Working hours of the Family Doctor Consultations Service number:

• weekdays: from 17:00 to 08:00

• weekends and public holidays: 24 hours a day

When to call the Family Doctor Consultations Service number?

​

• Minor injuries, sudden illnesses or exacerbations of chronic diseases in the evenings, at night or at weekends, when the Family Doctor's practice is closed but medical advice is needed.

• do not analyse the results of existing tests and examinations (X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasonography, etc.);

• do not explain the diagnosis made by the attending physician or specialist physician;

• do not provide references, including contact details, addresses of medical facilities.

Remember – Emergency Service Doctor Consultations provide medical advice in acute health situations. Medical advice from an emergency service  doctor is not a substitute for working closely with your family doctor in the event of both acute and chronic illness!
